Here it comes, the post about the really cool animals that is just 5 minutes (!) from my home! So cool that I can hear the lions (think it is the lions) being fed by the caretakers at the ZOO. So, Christian and I went there on a nice and sunny day, was walking around and suddenly they announced that it was only ten minutes left before closing! What!? Yep, we had been looking at the animals for 5.5h and still hadn't seen all of them. We missed all the reptiles and the hippopotamus :( How could that happen.... Oh well, I guess I'll have to go there some other day. Anyway, wont let you read my crap, here's some pics!

that weird dude is a cassowary. it's a flightless bird from the rainforests of north queensland and there are hardly any left. looks a bit prehistoric with that big bone sticking out of his head, doesn't it?
